The Ski Boat Drivers Award

This is a recognised qualification for driving skiers, for which we are an authorised test centre licensed by the British water-ski federation.

Passing the SBDA also automatically qualifies you to hold an ICC - an International Certificate of Competence. At the WMWSC all of the drivers have to hold an SBDA certificate.

We accept that people need time to train, and drivers who are "in training" can use their boats too. In training is qualified as having booked a test date, and having an SBDA holder in your boat as crew.

Our courses are run by Keith Martin, who is a barefoot club coach, ski instructor and wakeboard instructor as well as having many years experience in power boating.

Times and pricing are by arrangement with Keith as he is in other  full time employment.

Non members may use the centre to qualify as well as members.

The costs per person are as follows, and show two prices , one for the training, and one for the exam.

If you have never owned a boat before, you will need both the training and exam.

For those who are experienced drivers, you need only take the exam.
